Well, this stage is soooo
Well, this stage is soooo much fun, just going mad on everything that moves xD
Nevermind, my goal was to achieve as many Perfects as possible. My max was 103, this one is
a little bit less, but still acceptable ;-)
Since you can not skip the last cutscene in the Gamecube version, I cut it out... I'm tired of seeing it
over and over again.
Anyways, enjoy! The gate didn't really receive too much damage afterall ^_^
Edit: Today, 13.6.2009, I found a new way of farming maximum amount of Perfect ranks. Until the part where you have to save either Aragorn or Legolas, farm as many Perfects as you can. Then, after another specific amount of enemies has been slain, a warrior cries that there are archers on the wall.
That's where the farming starts: After the archers have been killed, DON'T go down to aid Gimli, as the barricade won't receive any damage at all, due to the game's preferences. It will start getting damaged again when you enter the base floor again.
So, after you killed all archers, stay on the wall and kill everything that moves with Perfects (if possible). A thing you should know: There are basically two areas in this mission: The ground floor, where the actual events happen (trolls spawning f.ex.) and the wall, where there is no enemy counter. That means, as long as you stay on the wall and kill orcs, you won't trigger the last cutscene where the trolls come in. Excellent to farm Perfect ranks! In the beginning, shield orcs and uruks will respawn after a period of time, but after a while only goblins will spawn (with those it is harder to get a Perfect rank, as they die faster and fill your skill meter slower than uruks do f.ex.).
You can shoot arrows from the top of the wall to kill orcs on the ground floor, but as I said, that's a bad idea, as this will fill the counter for the last scene to trigger. Rather slay those who enter the wall.
The maximum amount I earned that way was 193 Perfects with Legolas (as his arrows are a 1-hit-kill in Perfect mode).
