Chevy Cobalt Transmission Cooler Lines and Fittings LEAKING TRANS

If your Chevy Cobalt is
If your Chevy Cobalt is leaking transmission fluid there is a high probability that it is coming from the transmission cooler lines and or the fittings where they meet the radiator. Fortunately replacing the transmission cooler line on a Chevrolet Cobalt is really straight forward. This process should be the same for other GM cars with the Ecotec engines.
What happens is the o-rings where the cooler lines connect to the radiator swell and fail over time. You will most likely notice the issue if you see red transmission fluid on the ground underneath your car on the driver's side. You can replace the o-rings or get a new fitting that comes with both o-rings pre-installed. I also opted to replace the trans cooler line as it looked like it was also leaking.
