Sony unveils a 4K Blu-ray player, Projector, ES receivers at CEDIA

Earlier this year, Sony said it would take its time releasing its first 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player, and at CEDIA, we’re finally getting a glimpse of it, along with a crazy new HDR-ready projector and new ES series A/V receivers.

The Sony UBP-X1000ES reference standard 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player not only handles disc playback, but also streams content in 4K along with HDR.

Sony also announced an uber high-end projector, the VPL-VW675ES. This model will be one of the first home projectors to support Hybrid Log-Gamma (HyLG), a relatively new standard developed for HDR broadcasting.

Sony has announced four new models in its ES line of A/V receivers, which will join its flagship STR-ZA5000ES model: the STR-ZA3100ES, STR-ZA2100ES, and STR-ZA1100ES, as well as the entry level STR-ZA810ES.
