Science and Maths Exhibition 5th Graders

True education aims at holistic development of students. Our school adopts a pragmatic approach and encourages conceptual learning in the students. Projects, presentations, exhibitions facilitate experiential learning in the young learners. A maths and science exhibition was organized for the Students of class 5 on 1st December 2018, Saturday. This awakened a scientific spirit among the students of the primary section. The exhibition was a good platform for the 5th graders to put their talent to use and give shape to their ideas. Students worked hard to present innovative projects such as movable models, fixed models , pictures and puzzles that demonstrated different concepts of mathematics like ATM machine, Data Handling (Models of Bar Graph), Fractions ( Models), Napier’s Multiplication Kit, Currency of various countries, Clocks, Types of Angles, Measurements, Perimeter/Area, Profit & Loss and Basic Geometrical concepts. They also created eco- friendly houses, electromagnetic cranes/pulleys, anti – gravity device, intelligent street lights, sensors etc. Students who made volcanoes for the exhibition were asked to arrange all of them in one area and when they did the experiment, all the volcanoes erupted! What a moment of joy and satisfaction it was . The exhibition was an exciting affair for the students as they not only got the platform to showcase their own creation but also got newer ideas and learnt from their peers. Students of class 2, 3,4 and 5 got the opportunity to attend the exhibition and were impressed by the efforts put in by the participants. The exhibition was a big success and the teachers were highly satisfied with the 100% involvement and participation of the student. Each child made one item for Maths as well for science
