How to fix P0110 Code: Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1)
A P0110 Code is set when the computer (PCM/ECM) reads the voltage from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor circuit is not in range.
The Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT) monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine. The engine computer uses the information to calculate air density so it can adjust the air/fuel ratio. Cold air is more dense than hot air, so cold air requires more fuel to keep the correct air/fuel ratio.
The IAT sensor is a Thermistor, which is a resistor whose resistance changes with temperature.
The IAT sensor can be built-in with the MAF sensor, MAP sensor, or by itself.
Possible Causes of a P0110 Code:
Faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
Wiring (Open / Short)
