In the second episode of the fourth season of This Is Us, viewers got to see a much slimmer version of Toby, played by Chris Sullivan. However, unlike most character slimdowns, Sullivan didn’t have to lose weight to play the thinner Toby, as he previously wore a “fat suit” to play the character.

Many fans were surprised to learn about this, and some found it unfair to have a thinner actor wear prosthetics instead of just hiring a heavier actor.
