For mice, Voles, and rats inside an out-building, I've found that black oil sunflower seeds have broad appeal and lure the most crafty mice:
Centers like Tractor Supply sell a 40# bag of sunflower seeds for $22.99
I use Titebond II wood glue on all my traps: https://amzn.to/34a060n
I use DeWalt bar clamps for all of my traps and beekeeping equipment:
Find them at your favorite home center like Home Depot.
I don't paint or finish any of my mouse/rat trap boxes, I leave them natural as I think they find that most appealing.
