With their elegantly produced retro sound, Sirens Of Lesbos have been turning heads around the globe in recent years. And everyone from BBC 6 Music to Gilles Peterson to the local music journals agrees that at least since the release of their 2020 debut album, “SOL”, the group’s soulful stylistic mixture has been successful thanks to a rare sense of 80s grooves, rhythm, and harmony. For COLLIDE, the band performes “Run Run Run” and the formidable Bootsy Collins feature “8 Billion” – two songs that highlight both the musical level and the international standing of the Sirens. The special highlight is a cover version of the nostalgic hit “Sweet Harmony” by The Beloved, which was given a deeply contemporary vibe through fresh arrangements. The organic visuals by Michelle Bocker and Elastique. contribute equally to the shimmering and modern feel. The performance is completed with AI-generated images with extraterrestrial qualities, fusions of Heaven and Earth, and audio-reactive animations that took their cue from the musical rhythm and melody and depict an intertwined aesthetic in all three performances – like a dream that looked promisingly towards a future and that everyone hoped would never end.

Reeperbahn Festival is the biggest club festival in Europe and the largest European platform for international pop culture and the music industry. Since 2006, for four days each September the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the centre of the international music world and a sustainable interface between artists, the public, industry representatives and society. The Conference programme is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from around the world.
The Reeperbahn Festival takes place under the sign of togetherness - racism, sexism, homophobia and exclusion have no place with us.
