The Union General Who Beat Lee and Jackson

Nathan Kimball is not one of the prominent names emblazoned on the pantheon of victorious Union generals. And yet the Indiana native commanded a Hoosier regiment in an 1861 battle that dealt Robert E. Lee a loss in his first Civil War engagement. And, the following year, Kimball's forces whipped Stonewall Jackson's men. Here's more.
