Aloo chaat is one of the most popular street foods of India. It is easy and quick to make. And it is one recipe that people of all ages love.
Ingredients
For Frying Potato
Oil - 3 Tbsp
Potato - 3 Nos
Cumin Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Kashmiri Red Chili Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 Tsp
Date & Tamarind Chutney - 1 Tsp
Mint Chutney - 1 Tsp
Assembling Chaat
Fried Potato
Chopped Onion
Chopped Tomato
Sprinkle Chili Powder
Sprinkle Chaat Masala
Mint Chutney - 1 Tsp
Date & Tamarind Chutney - 1 Tsp
Sev
Coriander Leaves
Pomegranate
To Make Date & Tamarind Chutney
Pitted Dates - 10 Nos Chopped
Tamarind Puree - 1/2 Cup
Red Chili Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Cumin Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Black Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Dry Ginger Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Salt - 1/2 Tsp
Powdered Jaggery - 2 Tsp
Water
To make Mint Chutney
Green Chilli - 2 Nos
A Small piece of Ginger
Coriander & Mint Leaves - 1 Cup
Juice of 1 Lemon
Salt to taste
Water - 1 TBSP

Method
Cut potato pieces into small cubes
Shallow fry the potato pieces till they are golden brown in color
Take thefried potato pieces in a pan, and add all the spice powders, coriander leaves, lemon juice, green chutney and tamarind chutney
Mix well
Layer the potato pieces in a plate and layer it with chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chaat masala, and the spice chutneys
Garnish with Pomegranate seeds / Cashew nuts / Raisins and nylon sev
