1600 YEARS OLD ROCK CUT CAVE TEMPLE IN BIDISHA, MADHYAPRADESH.
It  is a historical Hindu ritual site home to twenty rock-cut caves near Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. Otherwise known as 'Vishnu Padagiri' meaning "the feet of Vishnu", the Udayagiri Caves are extensively carved with iconographies of Hindu Gods, namely Vishnu, Durga and Shiva containing legendary stories of the gods and their shrines. Udayagiri hills hold twenty caves dedicated to Hinduism and Jainism sculptures from the Gupta Era. Among which the most prominent one is the fifth cave which is famous for the ancient monumental statue of Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as the Boar-Headed Varaha rescuing Bhudevi (earth).
Udayagiri caves is 6 Kms from Vidisha.


How to Reach
By Air

Vidisha is situated at the middle of Madhya Pradesh and it is very near Capital of Bhopal , Vidisha is approachable from either side by road and rail links. Bhopal (65 Kms) is the nearest airport, which is connected to Delhi, Mumbai ,Hyderabad and Udaipur .The taxi-ride takes about 1-2 to reach Bhopal from Vidisha.
By Rail

Vidisha Railway Station is situated on main Railway Track Delhi to Mumbai and Delhi to Hyderabad . up and down train passing from Vidisha.
By Road

Bhopal-Kanpur NH-146 via passing Sanchi-Vidisha-Sagar .the distance from Vidisha to Bhopal is 60 k.m.
