The old port city of Gdańsk (German: Danzig) is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland and part of the Tri-City area with Gdynia and Sopot.
The festival boasts 758 years of tradition, 6 million visitors per year, 1000 stands throughout Gdansk, and 23 days of cultural entertainment: this is the world-famous Dominican Fair! Today, the lively and colorful street festival is not only the biggest tourist attraction of the Gdansk summer season but also the largest outdoor trade and cultural event in Poland (and one of the biggest in Europe). During these sunny midsummer days, the picturesque streets of the Tri-City are filled with musicians, mimes, and colorful characters. You'll hear live music from almost every bar, savor incredibly delicious food on every corner, and have the opportunity to discover handmade unique crafts from artisans, artists, and antique dealers.
