When the copyright on J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan finally lapsed, a number of sequels were published - but Peter Pan in Scarlet was the 'official' sequel, commissioned by Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital (which had been the beneficiary of the original book's copyright for several decades). This radio adaptation appeared very quickly...
