Hello, one and all. Thank you for stopping by to watch our 2017-2019 Honda CR-V rear-end cap replacement video. This was fairly easy and quick to do. Replacing an end cap is so much better than replacing a whole bumper. The process is similar except you are only taking off a quarter of the bumper. Not to mention, changing out an end cap is more economical than replacing an entire bumper. We're big fans of end caps.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a panel clip removal tool or a flat head screwdriver, Philips screwdriver.

REPLACEMENT PROCESS:
We used an impact gun to make things a bit easier but we could not use it on everything. So make sure you have your handy Philips screwdriver. The process is pretty easy and self-explanatory. The torque-bit or hex bit may be a bit hard to find, but most toolsets have them. The goal is not to completely remove the entire bumper unless you need to. You want to just loosen each end to have enough leverage or slack to take off the end cap. It's much harder when the other side is on tight not allowing for spacing or movement. If you are feeling bold, go right ahead and take off the whole bumper. The end cap itself is only held on by clipping it onto the lower bumper and a couple push pins.

This is a very easy and straightforward job. Once you have the newly painted end cap from ReveMoto painted auto parts. Just work your way backward to secure the bumper, end cap, fender flare, and mud flaps.  You'll be glad you didn't remove the entire bumper. Work smarter, not harder folks. Easy-peasy, you are one step closer to opening your own shop now.
