Over the years, Microsoft has used different naming strategies for Windows. Originally, names corresponded to version numbers (1/2/3). In 1995, Microsoft chose to name the newest version of Windows "Windows 95", to "herald in a new epoch of Windows", according to Windows team leader, Brad Silverberg. Since then, Microsoft has also named Windows releases using monikers and numerals. Watch to find out more...
