The principles of positional chess are well-known, and it doesn't take much wisdom to keep them in mind and apply in practical games. What is really wise is the ability to spot the positions, in which these principles are irrelevant. The peculiarities of some positions might require breaking the conventional principles in order to find the strongest move. In this game Paul Keres breaks the opening principles by moving the already developed piece for the second time, while his other pieces are still not developed. As a result Keres falls behind in development, but still dominates the whole board and creates an attacking masterpiece.
