Here is how to quickly remove saliva noises from your vocal recordings using EQ (equalization) to edit them out. This is an excerpt from our home recording course, The Newbies Guide To Audio Recording Awesomeness 1: The Free Recording Studio - https://www.homebrewaudio.com/lander/...  Sometimes when recording voice-overs or singing, you can end up with "clicking" sounds from the saliva in your mouth. This video shows you how remove those sounds with a free audio recording and editing program called "Audacity."

Of course this can be done in pretty much any audio editing software. The BEST way to produce a saliva-free recording is to prevent those noises from being recorded in the first place. And this video gives you some tips on that. But if (for me it's more like "when") they do get recorded, now you have a fast, easy and free way to get rid of them.

However, this method is slow. If you have a long file, like a podcast or audiobook, you'll want a tool that will allow you to apply the effect to large sections of audio at a time. You can't do this with the free method in the video because it would eliminate the high frequencies in all the non-clicky audio. Luckily there is a much faster and easier way to do it in larger chunks of audio. And that is is use the Mouth De-Click tool in iZotope RX Standard - https://homerecording.click/rx-standard
