Twin pregnancy sharing the placenta. See if there is a womb like this there is one baby here one baby there and each baby they'll have their own placenta and because of the placenta the baby is getting all the nutrition from the placenta. So when this twin pregnancy happens with both of the twins sharing a single placenta what will happen is a single placenta has to look after the nutrition of both the twins. So there comes the compromise. See sometimes what happens is some babies are too much strong and they try to take all the nutrition and the other baby may have to compromise a lot and because of it the nutrition for that one particular twin becomes less and the other twin is eating all the nutrition. When this happens other twin which is not getting proper nutrition is going to suffer. So many times we have seen that when twin pregnancy happens it will be so strong that sometimes the one baby will not grow at all and it gets aborted also. In very early pregnancy we have seen this routinely. So that is one problem of twin pregnancy with a common placenta. And one more thing is sometimes what happens there is a circulation going only for one baby. Those are all the problems of a twin pregnancy which has got only one single placenta. There are so many pregnancies which each one have their own cavity their own membranes their own placenta and everything is like that. So if it is like that the pregnancy will happen more easily it can go on. But one more thing is twin pregnancy as such it will have prevalence because one particular womb has to keep both the babies and when it will grow the place will not be enough even if it is having a separate placenta also sometimes there will be compromise for one twin and the other twin will grow better. So there are so many factors and what happens is because of this enormous size both the babies the womb will not be able to accommodate both the babies and so only we have to be very careful in any twin pregnancy. It is not like routine pregnancy so most of the time we have to take more of rest, our more physical activity and so many times the mother may not be reaching the full nine months because there is no place there and most of the time by nature's this thing only usually they go into premature labor. So we have to try to see in such a way that prematurity will be not so much. It will affect the survival of the babies. So we try to achieve as much as possible means reach maximum weeks possible in the womb so that the baby should be safe when they are delivered. So this is what I want to tell about twin pregnancy.
