PM Modi unveils India's First Indigenous Hydrogen-Fueled Vessel, Co-Powered by KPIT

Sustainability is at the heart of KPIT's vision. In 2021, we unveiled a Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered mobility application that showed the potential of indeginously developed technology. We continue to work on many such mobility innovations for a Cleaner, Smarter and Safer World.

In a next big step towards a greener tomorrow, Cochin Shipping Yard worked with KPITs team to develop the first India - developed Hydrogen Fuel Cell vessel. This features electric propulsion controls and powertrain designed and developed entirely by KPIT from ground up.

This HFC Powered vessel was Inaugurated by Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi on 28th Feb 2024.
