Russian President Vladimir Putin received Monday credentials of newly appointed foreign ambassadors including Germany, the United Kingdom, and Sweden. Speaking in front of 21 newly appointed diplomats, Putin said that Russia doesn't have 'hostile' intentions towards anyone.

"Of course, we expect that all international partners in relations with us will adhere to the principles of equality and mutual consideration of interests," Putin said. The Russian leader also described the current state of bilateral relations with ambassadors' countries. He noted that the relations between Germany and Russia were undermined by explosions on the Nord Streams.

"The current frozen state of relations with Russia, and this is not our initiative, I want to emphasize this, is unprofitable. But it is not beneficial for either us or you, but above all, in my opinion, for Germany," Putin said.

Putin also expressed hope that the relations with the U.K. will improve "in the interests of our two countries and peoples." He also said Sweden's decision to join NATO "raises questions." "The current situation in bilateral affairs, of course, does not meet the true interests of either our countries, the region, or Europe as a whole," Putin added.
