Several times a year, Naumkeag
Several times a year, Naumkeag (a Gilded Age "cottage" [mansion] owned by the Trustees of the Reservations - learn more about the Trustees here: thetrustees.org/about-us/) has really neat events like the Pumpkin Festival in October, Winterlights in December, and the Daffodil and Tulip Festival in the spring.
Today, we are walking around the Daffodil and Tulip festival. Last year, we went right at the very beginning of the festival and not a lot was open yet. This year, we went at the end of the festival, and were told that we had missed the peak by about three days. Still, the grounds at Naumkeag are always beautiful and it was nice to see it full of flowers.
Recorded on May 5, 2024. It was a rainy day, and our tickets were one of the last time slots for the day, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
