We perform a Core/Slice Seed Renovation using two different machines. The first machine is called a Core Aerator. It creates thousands of holes throughout your lawn and in its wake, leaves behind small "cores" of soil. These cores contain beneficial microorganisms that help to breakdown thatch. Before using the second machine, we overseed the lawn with our premium weed free blend of Turf Type Tall Fescue and Bluegrass seed, which is Blue Tag certified and approved by the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance (TWCA).

Then, we use a Slice Seeder to chop up the cores and push the seed down into the ground about a quarter of an inch and in rows an inch and a half apart. This makes for optimum seed to soil contact. With proper conditions and care, your new lawn will begin to sprout in 10-14 days and will be beautiful by the spring.
