It's been a while and thanks for your immense patience. Maybe this video can almost celebrate 100 subscribers.

Anyways, I admit that I've tried to record this on a few weekends over the past few months but I just wasn't satisfied. In the end, I realized that this song encompasses all the struggle we encounter. Some tribulation tries us and we attempt to counter an undesired reality by toppling some part of the hindrance. Recording this cover was tough but it taught me to set realistic goals for myself.

About the arrangement:
There's no way to describe the raw power of the original song. It's epic enough on its own so all I did was extend the full version to make it more complete. Thus, I used this opportunity to compress the impact of a full rock-band concert into a solo piano piece.

Even though I've played Pianeet, Animenz, and Tehishter's songs before, this song is definitely in the top 10 hardest anisongs I've played since the difficulty is off-the-charts. I used a lot of jumping chords/octaves in both hands and included the fastest arpeggios. Not to mention the last 2 very unpianistic pages - which have pushed me to my current technical limit [then again, I don't have as much time to practice compared to pre-college years]. The other shenanigans considered with those technical difficulties, make this piece rewarding but cringe-worthy to play.

I've also included some dissonant harmonies to embody the internal conflict in Psycho-Pass. The "bridge" section of the arrangement is the eye of this hurricane and it's personally my favorite part of the song and the original.

My favorite technique to execute here was probably the left hand pseudo-glissando at 3:15. I notated it similar to how Prokofiev notated double note arpeggios in his 3rd piano concerto --- which some pianists approximate with glissandos.

Note: if you stuck it out to the end and looked carefully, you can see that my left thumb is injured, though not from piano.

For the next cover, I'm thinking something like Madoka.

Anyone have any tips for recording or processing with better audio? I'm not sure if I'm making the best of my equipment right now.
