Short Edwardian Cotton Dress - Getting Dressed

My short Edwardian cotton dress is inspired by Edwardian girls’ dresses. I used one vintage apricot-colored cotton bedsheet that I dyed for the whole dress. The pattern is self-drafted based on early Edwardian sewing patterns. And I used Edwardian sewing techniques and my old treadle sewing machine to make the dress.

In the video you can also see how Edwardian women kept their separate bodices and skirts in place: with a waisttape and a hook & eye connection at the back.
