Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 Fuji X mount vs Fujinon 16-55mm f2.8 | Are they comparable?

Should you go for the new Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 for Fuji X mount or should you go with the Fujinon 16-55mm f2.8?
That is quite a tough choice depending on the use you'll be having with these lenses.
