Ventoy (and Easy2Boot) allow you to boot from Linux 'Fixed' type .VHD or .VDI files which contain multiple partitions (without a Virtual Machine - Linux runs at full speed). The VHD\VDI files can be kept on a large USB boot drive or can be on any internal hard disk drive. You can have many different Linux OS's on one drive!

You can also use LVM LUKS encryption if you wish with a swap file.

To add UEFI boot capability to the VHD\VDI for both UEFI and Legacy booting - see How to make Linux Mint boot from both... - then run vtoyboot.sh script.

Note: Zorin Lite 16 seems to have a UEFI install bug - it will not boot after a UEFI install! Seems OK if using Legacy. I would suggest you try a well tested standard distro such as Ubuntu Desktop or Linux Mint for your first tests.

If booting using Easy2Boot or agFM/grubfm (grub2 or grub4dos) and you want to use VTOY_LINUX_REMOUNT you can configure the grub.cfg file inside the VHD\VDI to permanently enable remounting (see 'Getting started with Ventoy' eBook for details).
