I've spent the last two months in Portugal with plans to make Lisbon my home. This was the first time that I had come to Portugal and so I jumped in completely blind as to what the experience of living here would be like.
As an American who has lived abroad in France, Mexico, Thailand, India, Nepal and Indonesia, there were particularities about life here which surprised me.
