Hong Kong Police demonstrated the new ‘water cannon’ anti-riot vehicles at the Police Tactical Unit in Fanling on Monday. The Mercedes-Benz trucks are designed for crowd control and cost more than US$2 million. The Force is considering spraying liquid dye at radical protesters to make identifying suspects easier, a senior police source reveals.
