Do you how to easily and elegantly open a bottle of champagne? Follow these 5 easy steps to open your bottle of bubbly like a pro!
1. Remove the foil from the neck of the chilled bottle.
2. While keeping a hand on the cork, carefully unscrew the cage by pulling out the key (the metal ring) and turning it counterclockwise 6 times. Then, loosen the cage from the lip of the bottle. Don’t remove the cage!
3. Holding the bottle at a 45° angle, keep one hand around the cage and cork and the other at the bottom of the bottle then slowly turn the bottle, not the cage and cork.
4. Remember that the pressure inside the bottle is 90psi! That’s 3x that of a car tire. This pressure will push the cork out into your hand.
5. Pop, pour, and enjoy!
