Dr. Balamurali Krishna (Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna) is an Indian Carnatic vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, playback singer, composer, and actor. He is honored with numerous awards and privileged titles in his illustrious career, to name a few are the Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. A child prodigy, Balamuralikrishna gave his first full-fledged concert at a Thyagaraja Aradhana, Vijayawada at the age of 8. He was a colossus, a consummate master in Carnatic music and his musical career has been a never-ending saga of victories. He is an innovative artist who created many new Ragas and has composed over 400 compositions in various languages, encompassing every facet in Carnatic Music that includes Varnas, Krithis, Thillanas, Bhavageethas. He has performed in over 25,000 concerts worldwide.
