Bodycam Shows Police Snipers Shooting Allegedly Armed Minnesota Man

The Minneapolis Police Department in Minnesota released bodycam footage showing police snipers shooting an allegedly armed man after a six-hour standoff on July 14. A woman called 911 stating someone shot multiple rounds through her apartment door. When officers arrived, the suspect, 20-year-old Andrew Tekle Sundberg, allegedly shot through a door in the stairwell of his apartment when an officer attempted to initiate contact. While officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, the suspect allegedly threatened to shoot the officers while acting erratically. Snipers stationed across the street identified what appeared to be a gun in Sundberg's hand and fired multiple shots. The suspect died from his injuries at a local hospital. No officers were injured during this incident.
