The video starts from the approach to Gorakshep (गोरकशेप, dead raven, 5165m), a base where both the hike to the Evereste Base Camp (EBC, 5364m) and the ascendancy to Kalapatthar (काला पत्थर, black rock,  5643m, local maxima on the Pumori ridge) were started from, i.e. the culminating part of the overall Everest Base Camp Trek. Kalapatthar ascendancy started at 4:00am in the morning (3:30am warming tea was captured at 01:42). The hike was so hard in the high-attitude low-oxygen conditions that we could not talk or move slightly out-of-necessity to record the process, with the only photo taken of the sky with a phone (01:45). Kalapatthar was summited at arround 6:00am (31/10/2022), with the breathtaking view of the giants of Himalayas in their full glory. The labeled photo at 02:02 shows the names and the elevations of most of the visible peaks (Pumori 7161m, Lingtren 6749m, Chang Zheng 6977m, Khumbutse 6636m, Changtse 7543m, Lho La 7288m, West Shoulder, Everest 8848m, Lhotse 8516m, Nuptse 7861m), as well as the Khumbu Icefall slowly sliding from Mt. Everest towards its Base Camp.

The music is from the increddible TheFatRat (Christian Friedrich Johannes Büttner), as distributed by the composer royalty free. The used compositions are: Origin, Ascendancy, and Kingdom Come.
