Much before Kishore Kumar sang this song for his film JHUMROO, his elder Brother, Dada Moni Ashok Kumar had sung this song for the film JEEVAN NAIYA (1931). The film was produced by Himanshu Rai for his production house Bombay Talkies. The film was directed by the German film maker Frank Osten and music by Saraswati Devi.
