Stressed out saguaros: What is causing massive cacti to fall over?

We've seen a spate of falling saguaros all over the Phoenix area lately. Have they succumbed to the extended period of extreme heat we've seen this summer? Maybe. But a plant physiologist from the Desert Botanical Garden says something else could be going on.
