The German Wehrmacht attacked the Kingdom of Yugoslavia on 6th April 1941, and with its lightening speed military defeated the Royal Yugoslav Army in only 12 days. It is known to everyone that the undefeated German Army conquered many countries larger than Yugoslavia, such as France, which was thought to have one of the strongest land armies in the world. However, the question remains - could Yugoslavia have resisted the invader more gracefully, and if so, why did it not?
