The flavour of tamarind in this mojito makes it extra tangy and flavourful. Refresh yourself instantly! Here is a tangy, refreshing and unique Imli Mojito recipe. It gets ready within a few minutes. Put jaggery powder in a pot and add some water. When the jaggery melts completely add tamarind paste and toss. This mixture is the hero of the recipe. Now muddle some lemon wedges and mint leaves in a glass. Add the prepared mixture, water, ice, black salt and soda. Super tasty and so fresh! Ingredients
1 tbsp tamarind paste (imli)
¼ cup jaggery powder
A pinch of salt
¾ tsp Tata Sampann Chilli Powder
¼ tsp green cardamom powder
A pinch of black salt + for rimming
1 lemon, cut into wedges + for rimming
A few fresh mint leaves
Ice cubes as required
Drinking soda as required
Lemon slice for garnish
Fresh mint sprigs for garnish
Method
1. To make the tamarind paste, heat a non-stick pan. Add jaggery powder and ¼ cup water, cook till the jaggery melts and the mixture thickens.
2. Add imli paste and mix well. Add salt and ½ tsp Tata Sampann Chilli Powder and stir for a few seconds.
3. Add green cardamom powder, mix and take the pan off the heat. Transfer the paste in a bowl and set aside to cool.
4. Spread remaining Tata Sampann Chilli Powder on a plate, add black salt and mix well. Take the serving glasses and rim them with lemon and dip it into chilli-salt mixture.
5. To make the mojito, take lemon wedges into a glass, add mint leaves and black salt and lightly muddle with a muddler. Add the imli paste and 1 cup water and mix well.
6. Fill the rimmed serving glasses with ice cubes and pour a portion of the imli-lemon mixture. Tear a few mint leaves and add into the glases. Top them up with drinking soda.
7. Garnish the glasses with lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs and serve immediately
