Outlook Can not Connect to GMail | Keeps Asking for Password | For Two Step Verification Users

In this video we will deal with the weird situation that you might face while configuring your Gmail Account with Outlook. At the end of the configuration you may receive this annoying pop up, asking for password and no matter how many times you provide your correct password it keeps on poping up.

So in our previous video we saw how to enable the feature "Less Secure Apps" and then you can easily be able to configure your G-mail account. But it will not work if you have "Two Step Authentication" enabled on your gmail account. Two Step Authentication is a feature that makes it possible to generate and use a 6 digit security code every time you log on to your Gmail Account through Browser.

You can view the previous video and resolve the issue right away by clicking on this video :
Outlook Can not Connect to GMail | Ke... if you have not enabled the "Two Step Authentication".

In this video, we will see how to make it possible without disabling the "Two Step Authentication" feature, which indeed a neccessary feature in today's world where number of online frauds have been increased bruty.

So in order to get rid of this annoying pop up we will create an App Password and enter it in the password. Lets see how to create the App Password here.

p up, lets create an App Password. So Login to your gmail account. As I have Two Step Authentication enabled, I will get the security code on my registered mobile number. Enter the code and login. Now

For those having '2-Step verification' enabled follow this simple steps without disabling this feature to gain access to your Gmail account through the Outlook.

1) Login to your mail account.
2) Click on the icon on the top right corner and then click on "My Account".
3) Now click on "Sign in And Security".
4) From here, click on "Connected Apps and Sites".
5) Click on "App Password" which is currently says "NONE". It means that you have not generated any App Password for your account . Once you click on it will ask you to provide your Account password again. Type in the password.

Note : Here you can see what exactly this App Password does. It says "App passwords allow 2-Step Verification users to access their Google Accounts through apps such as Mail on an iPhone or Mac, or Outlook. We'll generate the app passwords for you, and you won't need to remember them."

6) Now all you need to do here is to click on "Select App" drop down and select "Mail" on my "Windows Computer." and then click on "Generate". Note down the password generated here and paste it in the password field of security pop up in outlook. That's all and you wont ever receive that irritating and annoying pop ever again.
