How to Forage & Cook GINKGO NUTS that smells like a combination of POO & VOMIT | Fruity Fruits

Every year fall we (mostly my husband) harvest ginkgo fruits from an old ginkgo biloba tree so that we may snack the lovely nut inside.  here is a catch though -- when crushed the bright orange cherry-like fruits smell like a combination of vomit and dog poo.  Lovely, eh?  Now, that I've whetted your appetite, let's go and harvest some nuts and I'll show you how to cook 'em up.
