Swimmer's Ear Treatment | Auburn Medical Group

A "swimmer's ear" infection, or otitis externa, treatment and follow-up to check for improvement in the appearance of the ear canals are shown.  This appears to be mostly bacterial.  Many cases of otitis externa are caused by retained water in the ear canal, thus the common name,  "swimmer's ear."  It usually itches but can be painful, sometimes with a drainage from the ear.  Dried drainage on the right ear is seen on this patient.
