Bhajanichi Chakali
It is popular Maharashtrian recipe. It is favorite among all age groups. It is important part of Diwali faral. Chakali can be made with rice flour, maida, wheat flour etc.. But in Maharashtra, bhajani chakali is traditional. It is fried and crispy snack made of bhajani i.e. flour of roasted rice, pulses and few spices in some proportion. Do try this recipe.

Ingredients for Bhajani
2 bowl rice
1 bowl roasted chana dal
Half bowl urad daal
1/4th bowl moog daal
1/4th bowl thick poha
2 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 tablespoon cumin seeds

Ingredients for Bhajanichi Chakali
1 bowl Chakali bhajani flour
2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon ajwain
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Salt to taste  
Oil for frying


Tips
• Do not over roast the rice and pulses, it gives burnt taste and smell to chakali
• If you are giving bhajani in flour mill, always grind it after other bhajani or pulses
• Fry it on low flame in heavy bottom kadhai to get nice crisp
