This tool is about as good as several of the "Halligan bar" tools on the market, but without the legal hassle of more potentially being considered a "burglar tool" for prosecution purposes. Preppers, survivalists and "tactical dudes" sometimes want to have a breaching tool of some sort in a vehicle survival kit, but possession of such tools on a day to day basis outside the home or professional use can bring a person's motives into serious question. This is one good solution to the question. I use this regularly in my work and for a few months left it at my survival retreat, I found I needed it so much for in day to day projects that I had to go and get it back. Now I plan on getting a few extras. I guess it would also be useful as an option in a zombiepocalypse.
Professional users and municipalities will find the true Halligan bar type tools to be more efficient and faster, but for the non-government user, this will prove to be a better multipurpose utility bar.
