Die Amsel oder Schwarzdrossel (Turdus Merula) nistet im Mai 2022 auf dem Balkon und hat aus 4 Eiern Junge bekommen, wovon alsbald nur 2 Küken und dann nur noch eines übrig bleibt. Das Männchen der Amsel ist deutlich farblich zu unterscheiden und bringt Regenwürmer. Die Trockenheit, verursacht durch den Klimawandel und zunehmende Zerstörung der natürlichen Strukturen in den Gärten machen es den Vögeln schwer an Nahrung zu kommen. Schattige, feuchte Böden mit gemischter Vegetation und großer Insektenvielfalt sind Mangelware, weshalb das Männchen lange weg ist und nur karge Beute mitbringt. Gut zu erkennen: Kinder koten und die Vogelmutter frisst den Kot um das Nest sauber zu halten. Tierbabys sind einfach immer niedlich, ganz gleich ob Haare oder keine, ganz gleich ob Federn oder nackt. Der kleine Film zeigt fragmentiert das beginnende Leben und auch Sterben, das sonst oft im Verborgenen stattfindet.

The adorable kid flew his first flight down to the meadow on day 13 to be fed for the first time beyond a new horizon. Leaving the warm and comfortable area for the first time becoming a real bird after only 11 days! And on day 11 and seeing that small animal grown and strong, just a short period of time before not able to see and completely helpless was really astonishing and heart warming. A short film that shows how fast these creatures make it within a couple of days from weak, naked and blind animals to adorable birds.
