In this tutorial, you will learn How to Redeem an Amazon Gift Card on the Mobile App. In a previous video I showed you how to redeem an Amazon gift card on the desktop or web version of Amazon.
The overall process of redeeming the gift card is similar, but the steps are a little different on the mobile app. In this tutorial, I’m using the Amazon mobile app on Android version 9.0. To redeem an Amazon gift card follow these steps:
(1) log into my Amazon account; (2) Tap on the ACCOUNT icon at the bottom; (3) next, tap on YOUR ACCOUNT; (4) scroll down and tap on MANAGE GIFT CARD BALANCE; (5) Next, tap on REDEEM ANOTHER GIFT CARD and you’ll see two options (a) you can manually enter the CLAIM CODE into the box, or (b) tap on SCAN YOUR CLAIM CODE (I will use option “b”).
Once you do the above, you’ll see the black screen - tap on ALLOW ACCESS. You’ll see a pop-up dialog box, tap on ALLOW. Next, you’ll see a screen that allows you to automatically scan the claim code. So, if you have a physical Amazon Gift Card, scratch the box (at the back) to reveal the claim code.
Then place the screen and center the claim code, within the frame. It will automatically capture the claim code in this box. And finally, tap on APPLY TO YOUR BALANCE. This will apply the balance to your Amazon Gift Card Balance.
