Fender MIM Strat set up

In this video I'm setting up Kevin's MIM Fender Strat. The guitar came to me with a knackered jack input socket: somehow the hot lug had bent out of shape so that the tip was now completely on the wrong side when a jack was plugged in. We decided that I would replace this jack socket with a new, better quality one. In addition, Kevin wanted to lose the grub screws sticking up into his palm when playing so I ordered in a set of short screws to fix that. The set up involved the 'usual' - setting a low, light buzz and choke-free action with rock-solid tuning stability. And I talk a lot in this video about the 'Yin and the Yang' of dependable tuning stability. It has nothing to do with your tuners and everything to do with a) your nut and b) the unreleased slack in your strings. Get those two things right and the guitar will play and stay in tune :)
