There was a massive debate in my previous video (linked) showing a newborn being bathed directly after birth. Here is another video showing bathing and vernix practices around the world! No need to wash this magical “cream shield” off your baby right away! It’s not just protecting them from the amniotic fluid, but has antibacterial properties!
Vernix caseosa is a naturally formed, intricate, lipid-rich substance that envelops the fetal skin during the final trimester of pregnancy, originating in part from the sebaceous glands within the fetus.
