VW radio touch screen fixed with a $12 part

I installed the new digitizer touch screen over the original one, leaving the old one attached to the screen but disconnected from connector and simply plugged the new screen in where the original was plugged.

They have a ton of parts that are just not available from a dealer or other part supply store so is a great place to find what you need to repair your car.

The touch screen in my 2017 VW Passat has been a problem for a long while and the $ 1,000 plus aftermarket solution was not appealing to me....Allowing VW to repair it TOTALLY out of the question.  So I decided to try replacing the capacitive touch screen.  Probably every VW car will need this...I bought two to have a spare
