The Honda CRZ Build continues
The Honda CRZ Build continues with installing a "Mugen" Style Spoiler! So in today's video, we will be walking through the steps on how to install and drill a spoiler that did NOT come with a template. Needless to say, there's no going back now...
Adding a spoiler to a front wheel drive hybrid car? Say no more fam. The Mugen Style Spoiler for the CRZ is hit or miss in some eyes, but I think it'll all come together once we install the mugen lip kit! In my research, I was surprised that there wasn't much information on how to install a mugen spoiler on the CRZ or other Hondas for that matter. Drilling a hatch or trunk for a wing install can be pretty stressful, so I thought I would make a video showing that it's not THAT bad. The biggest difficulty with the CRZ is that the surface is angled, so it's hard to get a good idea where it'll sit. Measure 7,000 times and drill once. That's the motto. I want to give a shoutout to Jimmy (Jw.Media) and Andy for helping with the install as I don't think this is a one person job.
The wing came pre-painted from eBay which was a huge time saver and honestly pretty affordable. Most ebay wings may or may not come with hardware or any install accessories, however this did come with bolts, gasket material, and double sided tape. Since it DIDN'T come with a template (they never do), I made a quick tape template to outline the spoiler and help with the measurements. As with the rest of my Honda CRZ content, I hope this video lives on to help other CRZ owners with this install if they choose to do it! Because once you drill that hole, there's no going back.
