On this part of the
On this part of the trip, our train heads inland for a short while before once again skirting the Pacific Ocean on an ever narrower ledge, passing deserted beaches before leaving the ocean for the last time and heading inland along the Conway River Valley into the mountains and onto the Canterbury Plains for the run into Christchurch, crossing wide braided rivers on the way.
