how to hack WinZip or winrar password by using john the ripper in windows

If you are trying to crack a Winrar file, replace the zip to rar.

Example: rar2john.exe  rarfilename.rar 'angle bracket'  hash.txt
                john.exe rarfilename.rar hash.txt
