GCSE History - Medicine: Change and Continuity in Medieval Medicine

This online lesson gives an introduction to the concepts of change and continuity in medical progress and regress, focusing on the period of the middle ages. It considers the impact of the Church, governments, key individuals, education and attitudes in affecting change and continuity through a revision activity. This can be used to learn some basics, revise information and it concludes with some exam practice for a 16 mark essay.

This lesson is intended to support the Edexcel GCSE History specification for Medicine Through Time c.1250-Present. It may be useful for other specifications too!

The lesson is intended to last around an hour, depending on the depth of answers and any wider reading carried out.
